As you all know Maximo has evolved over the last few decades. We are reaching a very important milestone of MAS 8.0 introduction in the Maximo landscape. This is a stepping stone for consolidation of products (health, monitor, manage) and catapult the progress of Asset Management with the introduction of AI / ML etc.
🚀 Revolutionizing User Experience: MAS 8.0 isn't just a facelift; it's a user-centric transformation. With an intuitive interface, streamlined navigation, and enhanced user experience, it sets a new standard for ease of use and efficiency using Carbon UI design.
Implication: Hence, its important for the entire Maximo developer community to understand the importance of UI and how to better translate experience to end users.
🚀 Embracing Intelligence: Welcome to the era of intelligent asset management. MAS 8.0 harnesses the power of AI and predictive analytics, empowering you to foresee issues, optimize resources, and make data-driven decisions that drive excellence.
Implication: With more and more product coming up in the Maximo ecosystem - Maximo Visual Inspection, Maximo Health, Monitor and Predictive analysis, its important that we get good exposure to managing datasets, training of models, understanding the different algorithms in data science.
🚀 Agility Redefined: Change is constant, and Maximo 8.0 is designed to keep pace. Its modular architecture allows for swift adaptation to evolving needs, ensuring your asset management strategy remains agile and future-proof.
Implication: With MAS 8.0 and IBM road map, things are going to be really dynamic. IBM is releasing patches and ifixes quickly than ever before. Hence its important for us to keep up with this rapidly changing environment and keep ourselves open minded. With OpenShift moving in a rapid pace, its important to keep our learning continued and horn our skills.
🚀 Empowering Mobile Workforce: With a world on the move, your workforce needs to be empowered on the go. MAS 8.0's mobile capabilities redefine remote operations, putting the power of asset management in the palm of your hand.
Implication: Its important for Maximo developers to go beyond traditional Maximo development skills and start exploring Mobile customization, get introduced to the multiple ways of customizing apps. I would even say that as Maximo developers, exploring areas of Flutter development, understanding the Mobile framework is equally important.
Also, its important to understand how to release Maximo Mobile at an enterprise level ? what are the challenges that we would face and how to do effective roll out of Mx Mobile using Mobile device Management and their related security considerations.
